Role Overview

An Airport Ground Operations College Trainer educates aspiring aviation professionals in airport procedures, safety guidelines, and industry standards. They design curriculum modules covering subjects such as aircraft handling and passenger logistics, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of ground operations.

Through simulations and practical training, trainers prepare students for real-world scenarios, emphasizing safety protocols and efficiency. They update coursework to reflect industry advancements and regulations, shaping competent and knowledgeable future professionals.

Purpose of the Role

To develop and deliver Ground Operations Learning and Development interventions across the company, while acting as a role model for operational excellence in both actions and behavior.

Main Responsibilities

  • Motivate and encourage trainees to exceed expectations.
  • Ensure proficiency in systems, equipment, and compliance policies.
  • Coach students in universities/academies.
  • Support Training Manager with efficiency, safety, and quality observations.
  • Regularly review training materials for compliance with policy and regulations.
  • Deliver high-standard training covering safety, security, and service.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive reporting as required.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years in ground handling (supervisory) or 1+ year in aviation training.
  • Knowledge: Passenger handling, ramp, load control (expert in load & trim).
  • Skills: Auditing, analytical ability, organizational skills.
  • Languages: Strong English + one additional language.
  • Personality: Motivational, influential, deadline-driven, flexible shifts.

Reporting To: Training Manager | Duration: Permanent | Age Range: 30–55 yrs

Travel: Sporadic travel required
