Eligibility
Valid CPL with ATPL Frozen – Candidates must hold a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with an ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) in the frozen state.
Valid Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME IR) or Type Rating – You must possess a valid Multi-Engine Instrument Rating or an existing Type Rating for the aircraft in question.
Valid Class I Medical Certificate – A valid DGCA Class I medical is required to ensure you meet the medical standards for flight training.
Fluency in English – Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required for training and communication in aviation.

Frequently asked questions
What is a type rating?
An endorsement on your licence that qualifies you to fly a specific aircraft type, such as the Airbus A320, Boeing 737 or ATR 72. Each airliner type needs its own rating.
What does type rating training include?
Ground school on the aircraft systems, simulator sessions covering normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, and a skill test. Airlines then add line training on real flights.
Which type rating should I choose?
Choose the aircraft type flown most widely by the airlines you plan to apply to. Our counsellors can help you match your rating to current hiring.
What happens after the type rating?
Once selected by an airline, you complete line training under a training captain before being released as a First Officer.
